Blackout (apagón en español), es el noveno tema en el álbum de estudio A Thousand Suns de Linkin Park. La intro de la canción está conformada por sonidos de percusión, la voz de Chester invertida y sonidos electrónicos. En la primera parte la canción tiene un ritmo de Rapcore muy acelerado cantado por Chester y el estribillo está conformado por sus enérgicos gritos Nu Metal, con una semejanza al Screamo. El estribillo esta seguido por un bridge electrónico caótico donde se escucha la voz de Chester distorsionada y sonidos industriales. La canción va llegando a un ritmo más lento y la segunda parte empieza con la voz de Mike cantando primero y luego Chester acompañándolo.
